Mix together:
1 can sweetened condensed milk (I prefer the Milgro brand at SR, but anything works)
1 Tbsp peppermint flavouring (at Jumbo?)
6 cups icing sugar, more or less, to make a stiff dough that can be kneaded
Knead together until thoroughly mixed. Form into 1″ balls and flatten each ball into a disc. Place the discs on cookie pans or trays and leave uncovered for one hour. Flip each one over and leave uncovered for another hour.
Melt chocolate (there is a patisserie chocolat at LP) and dip each one in the chocolate to coat it. Store in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container.
This is a great treat for Christmas time. They are easy to make, but time consuming, especially if you have little kids “helping.” 🙂
